Unfortunately this we had to make the heart-breaking decision to cancel the “real” event for 2020 due to the Covid-19 situation.

Not to be beaten though we have set up a virtual series of events on RGT Cycling, we have chosen this platform as they have offered everyone free subscriptions for the period of the lockdown.

Join us every Sunday at 9am on our facebook page, we will be live streaming all the events; with guest riders showing us their efforts in the “comforts” of their own pain caves!

We are putting these events on for free, but if you can contribute to Zoes Place Baby Hospice on our Go Fund Me Page; we need to help them through this crisis. See our facebook page for more details.

To get set up on RGT follow the instructions here, to get the premium features for free you need to follow this process

  • Send an empty email to rideitout@rgtcycling.com from the same email account you used to register for RGT.

The Starley Sportive is a cycling event that recognises the contributions of Coventry based inventors John Kemp Starley and James Starley to the cycling industry. What better way to do this than getting as many people as possible out on their bikes. In addition to this the difference with the Starley Sportive is that 100% of the proceeds from the event goes to charity, unlike a lot commercial sportives.
Riders are also be able to order exclusive Starley Sportive Kit,

“Many thanks for an excellent Sportive today. Very well organised and sign posted, it was interesting to come at familiar roads from a different direction. At £10 it was very good value compared to a commercial sportive !!
Thanks to all involved and to Deeley Group for a magnificent HQ.”

This was our first Sportive, and wow, how it has sparked something in us to achieve more, challenge ourselves and join the 1000’s of other cyclists who enjoy this ‘feel good’ sport. Feeling humble.”
