On Sunday 20th September 2026, riders of all abilities are invited to take part in a fantastic day on the bike, starting from Deeley Group, George House, Herald Avenue, Coventry CV5 6UB. Whether you are taking on the shorter route for fun, stepping up to a bigger challenge, or going long for a memorable sportive experience, the Starley Sportive is about enjoying the ride, the atmosphere, and the heritage behind it.
With route options of 28, 65, and 90 miles, there is something for everyone.

The Starley Sportive is a cycling event that recognises the contributions of Coventry based inventors John Kemp Starley and James Starley to the cycling industry. What better way to do this than getting as many people as possible out on their bikes. In addition to this the difference with the Starley Sportive is that 100% of the profit from the event goes to charity, unlike a lot commercial sportives.
