The 2024 routes will be announced & information emailed to riders nearer the event. Please see below for the example routes based on our previous years, we aim to keep the routes near to these.

Short

The 28.6 mile Starley Sportive short route is a really enjoyable ride into the Warwickshire countryside towards Hatton. You only have to look at all the smiles in the photographs from last year to see this ride has a real family atmosphere. There are some small inclines but on the whole this is a rolling route.

Long

The Starley Sportive Long Route is 63.2 miles of undulating roads, it leaves the short route after  the first 13.2 miles just past Hatton Country World, It then takes you out through Snitterfiled before making your first visit to Alcester. You’ll then take a nice climb up to your feed stops before making your way back through Alcester and out towards Wootton Wawen. You will then rejoin the Short route for your ride back into Coventry.

Epic

The Starley Sportive Epic Route will be 86.5 miles and will also include Dover Hill in the Cotswolds. Dovers Hill has been used for the national hill climb on no less than 6 occasions; with an average gradient of 9% and a maximum of 14% the 1.1 mile climb will certainly test even the strongest legs. The Epic riders will split from the Long at the feed station to take on the climb and the extra miles ultimately rejoining the Long route at Wixford (a little more energy sapped).
